Almond Cookies

Almond cookies are a recipe with fresh ingredients from the cookies category.

Ingredients

  • 200 g marzipan base
  • 100 g peeled ground almonds
  • 1 Egg white
  • 75 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp almond liqueur (or 1 tbsp lemon juice)
  • 75 g flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 30 g peeled almond halves
  • parchment paper (for the tray)

Instructions

    Cut the marzipan into pieces. Knead with almonds, egg white, powdered sugar, lemon juice, almond liqueur and flour into a smooth dough. Shape into a roll.

    Preheat the oven. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the dough roll into 30 slices, form balls and place on the tray.

    Whisk the egg yolk. Brush the cookies with it. Press one almond half into the center of each cookie. Bake in the oven at 160°C (fan 140°C) for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the tray with the parchment paper and let cool.
