Ingredients

  • 250 g ground almonds
  • 5 eggs
  • 250 g breadcrumbs
  • 3 drops sage oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 50 g clarified butter

Instructions

    Beat the eggs well and combine with the almonds, breadcrumbs, 2 drops of sage oil, salt, and pepper to form a dough. Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Melt the clarified butter in a small pot, add the remaining sage oil, lightly grease a loaf pan with this mixture, and dust it with a little breadcrumb.

    Pour the dough into the pan and smooth the top. Bake the cake for 45 minutes, brushing it repeatedly with the sage-butter mixture during baking. Brush again 2 minutes before the end of cooking and sprinkle with salt. Remove the finished cake from the oven and cut hot into slices.
