Almond Blue Cheese Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 tbsp plant oil
- 150 ml dry white wine
- 200 g Gorgonzola
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 100 ml vegetable broth (or meat broth)
- 100 ml heavy cream
- Salt
- a splash almond liqueur
- Pepper
- 2 tbsp sliced almonds

Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Sauté together in hot oil in a saucepan until translucent. Deglaze with wine. Crumble the cheese and stir in gradually. Whisk cornstarch with broth and cream, then pour into the sauce while stirring. Simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened. Season with salt, almond liqueur, pepper, adding more broth if needed.
