Zucchini Tortellini Gratin

Ingredients

  • 500 g fresh tortellini (from the fridge)
  • 200 g heavy cream
  • 75 g butter
  • 2 small zucchinis
  • 8 tbsp grated Parmesan
  • Salt
  • fresh nutmeg
  • pepper (ground)
  • old-fashioned white bread

Instructions

    Cook the tortellini in plenty of salted water until al dente according to package instructions. Drain. Wash and grate the zucchini coarsely. Melt butter over medium heat, add cream, and simmer on low for 2-3 minutes. Stir in 3 tbsp Parmesan and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

    Mix the tortellini with the creamy sauce and grated zucchini. Add more Parmesan if desired and adjust seasoning. Divide the mixture into four baking dishes. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Crumble the old bread and sprinkle each dish with breadcrumbs and a little Parmesan. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until the crumbs turn golden brown.
