Yogurt Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 500 ml yogurt
  • 125 g sugar (vanilla sugar)
  • 3 tbsp coconut liqueur
  • 1 Egg white
  • 2 sheets gelatin
  • strawberries
  • sprinkles
  • whipped cream
  • 400 g strawberries (peeled and washed)
  • 125 g sugar
  • juice of one lemon
  • 3 tbsp cassis (Johann's beer liqueur)

Instructions

    Whisk yogurt with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy, fold in dissolved gelatin and stiffly beaten egg white, pour into a freezer tray and chill slightly, stirring repeatedly.

    Blend fruits and strain through a sieve, whisk with sugar, cassis and lemon juice to create a frothy mixture.

    Remove the frozen yogurt ice cream from the freezer, swirl with strawberry puree and freeze for at least 3 hours.

    Serve the yogurt-strawberry ice cream in dessert bowls garnished with berries, sprinkles and whipped cream as desired.
