Whole Wheat Pasta with Green Sauce
Whole wheat pasta with green sauce: These noodles make even figure-conscious people truly happy because they are extremely low in fat and bring few calories.
Ingredients
- 100 g Onions (2 onions)
- 1 clove garlic
- 150 g celery stalks with greens (2 stalks)
- 1 tsp Olive oil
- 200 g chopped frozen spinach
- 2 tbsp classic vegetable broth
- 100 g whole wheat pasta (e.g., penne)
- Salt
- Pepper
- nutmeg
- 15 g parmesan (1 piece)
Instructions

Peel onions and garlic. Dice the onions. Finely chop the garlic.

Wash celery, cut off the greens and set aside. Clean the celery stalks, separate the fibers, and slice them into about 2 mm thick ribbons.

Heat the olive oil. Add the onion cubes and chopped garlic, cover, and simmer for about 5 minutes over low heat.

Add the frozen spinach, celery ribbons, and vegetable broth, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for about 8 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water.

Drain the pasta, rinse with hot water, and let it drain. Season the green sauce with salt, pepper, and a pinch of grated nutmeg. Plate the pasta portion-wise with the sauce, sprinkle with grated Parmesan, and garnish with celery greens.
