Ingredients

  • 240 g whole grain bread (8 slices)
  • 15 g butter (1 tbsp; room temperature)
  • 200 g granular cream cheese
  • 125 g low-fat quark
  • 100 g green pepper olives (drained weight; jar)
  • 50 g walnut kernels
  • Salt
  • white pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 2 sprigs thyme

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Spread butter on the bread. Place the granular cream cheese in a bowl, mash with a fork and mix with quark.

    Coarsely chop the olives and 2/3 of the walnuts.

  3. 3.

    Add the olives and walnuts to the cream cheese mixture, season with salt and pepper. Spread the walnut quark onto the breads and sprinkle with paprika powder.

    Wash the thyme, shake dry, pluck leaves, sprinkle over the breads and arrange on four plates.
