White Mulled Wine with Apple Juice

White mulled wine with apple juice tastes especially good during the Advent season – try this simple recipe by Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 2 cm fresh ginger
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 2 untreated oranges
  • 400 ml white wine
  • 100 ml apple juice
  • 100 ml Korn brandy
  • 1 tsp cardamom pods
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 Cloves
  • 50 g Brown sugar
  • 4 half cinnamon sticks (for garnish)

Instructions

    Peel the ginger and slice it. Wash the citrus fruits hot, dry rub them, then thinly cut off the peel. Squeeze out the juice. Heat everything with the ginger, white wine, apple juice, Korn brandy, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and sugar, but do not boil. Let steep for about 15 minutes and strain into four glasses.
