White Mulled Wine

A particularly refined treat for cold winter evenings. Light and with few ingredients, you can prepare the drink quickly.

Ingredients

  • 10 g fresh ginger
  • 1 Organic lemon
  • 1 Organic Orange
  • 400 ml white wine
  • 100 ml clear apple juice
  • 100 ml Korn brandy
  • 1 tsp cardamom pods
  • a pinch nutmeg
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 Cloves
  • 50 g whole cane sugar

Instructions

    Peel the ginger and slice into rounds. Wash the lemon and orange, dry them, then thinly peel the zest. Squeeze out the juice of the fruits.

    Warm the juice and zest with ginger, white wine, apple juice, Korn brandy, cardamom, nutmeg, 1 cinnamon stick, cloves, and sugar over low heat, but do not boil.

    Let it steep for about 15 minutes, then strain into four glasses. Halve the remaining cinnamon sticks and serve with the mulled wine.
