Ingredients

  • 100 g cucumber
  • Salt
  • 1 stalk Parsley
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 200 g Greek yogurt
  • 1 dill herb
  • 2 small tomatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 500 g Halloumi
  • 4 sesame buns

    Preheat the grill.

    Wash and grate the cucumber. Salt it and let sit for about 10 minutes. Rinse the parsley, shake dry, and finely chop the leaves. Peel the garlic and press into the yogurt. Squeeze out excess water from the cucumber and mix with the parsley. Stir everything together and season with salt.

    Wash the lettuce, spin dry, and tear into small pieces. Wash the tomatoes and slice them. Peel the onion and cut into thin slices. Cut the Halloumi into four equal-thickness slices and grill on a hot grill for about 5 minutes per side until lightly browned (alternatively pan‑fry in a non‑stick skillet without oil).

    Split the buns in half and layer with lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. Place one Halloumi slice on each bun and add a spoonful of tzatziki. Top with the other bun halves and serve.
