Vegetarian bean stew by Spoonsparrow: the new family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 500 g thick beans (green beans)
  • 1 onion
  • 200 g carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 EL honey
  • 1 TL chopped bean herb
  • 0.5 l vegetable broth
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 150 g sheep cheese
  • 50 g coarsely chopped almonds
  • 2 EL Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 EL Butter

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Wash, trim and cut the beans into finger‑thick diagonal strips. Peel and chop the onion. Peel the carrots and dice them with the celery.

    Heat the butter in a pan and sauté the onion cubes until translucent. Add the remaining vegetables, honey, bean herb, broth and cream, then simmer gently for about 20 minutes.

    Stir in the cubed sheep cheese. Season generously with salt and pepper, and sprinkle toasted almonds before serving.
