Ingredients
- 1 kg waxy boiling potatoes
- 3 red bell peppers
- 1 large onion
- 2 sprigs sage
- 2 tbsp neutral oil (20 ml)
- 250 g sauerkraut
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 330 ml tomato juice
- 250 ml broth
- Salt
- ground pepper
Instructions

Peel the potatoes and cut them into 2 cm thick sticks. Wash, halve, core, and slice the peppers into thin strips. Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings. Rinse the sage, shake dry, and cut the leaves into not-too-fine strips.

Heat the oil in a large pot and sauté the onions until translucent. Add the potatoes, peppers, sauerkraut, tomato paste, and sage; cook for 5 minutes.

Pour in the tomato juice and broth. Season with salt and pepper and simmer covered for about 20–25 minutes. Then reduce uncovered to thicken slightly before serving.
