Vanilla Cream

Ingredients

  • 250 g quark
  • 0.5 Vanilla bean
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 sheets gelatin
  • 200 g whipping cream

Instructions

    Halve the vanilla bean lengthwise, scrape out the seeds and whisk them into a bowl with the quark and sugar.

    Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water. Squeeze out excess water and melt them gently in a small pot over low heat.

  3. 3.

    Stir 1 tbsp of the quark mixture into the melted gelatin, then add another tablespoon. Gradually fold the gelatin into the remaining quark cream.

    Whip the cream stiff and fold it into the vanilla quark. Depending on the recipe, use the vanilla cream further or serve immediately as a dessert in cups with fresh fruit.
