Tzatziki

Try classic Tzatziki from Spoonsparrow as a dip for many dishes such as gyros.

Ingredients

  • 2 sprigs dill
  • 0.5 cucumber
  • 600 g Greek yogurt (10% fat)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 0.5 lemon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt

Instructions

    Wash the dill, shake dry, and finely chop one sprig. Peel, wash, halve the cucumber, remove seeds, grate the flesh coarsely, and mix with 1 tsp salt. Let sit for 10 minutes.

    Rinse the cucumber pieces, drain well (set aside a few strips), and combine with yogurt. Peel and mince the garlic, add to the mixture. Squeeze lemon juice, stir in olive oil and yogurt mix, add dill, season with salt, and let rest briefly. Serve garnished with cucumber ribbons and dill.
