Tuna Tartare
Fresh tuna tartare with mango salad: this bright starter delights both visually and in flavor – chopped tuna paired with a vibrant mango salad.
Ingredients
- 2 Spring Onions
- 350 g mango (1 mango)
- 1 small green peppercorn
- 3 stems coriander
- 0.5 Avocado
- 1 Lime
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- 400 g tuna fillet (sushi grade)
- 0.5 Red Onion
- 1 tbsp capers (drained)
- 0.5 bunch Chives
- 6 crab chips
Instructions

Wash, trim and slice spring onions into thin rings.

Peel the mango, cut around the pit and dice finely. Halve the peppercorn lengthwise, remove seeds, wash and finely chop.

Rinse coriander, shake dry, pluck leaves and chop.

Pit the avocado, loosen flesh with a spoon and cube. Combine all in a bowl.

Squeeze 2 tbsp lime juice. Toss mango salad with 1 tbsp olive oil and remaining lime juice; season with salt and pepper.

Slice tuna into thin strips and dice finely.

Peel and finely chop red onion.

Chop capers.

Mix tuna, onion, and capers with leftover lime juice and olive oil; season with salt and pepper.

Wash chives, shake dry, cut into fine ribbons. Set aside some for garnish, fold the rest in.

Using a ring mold, place 1/4 of mango salad in the center of a plate.

Add 1/4 of tuna tartare on top of the mango salad and gently remove the ring. Repeat with remaining portions. Garnish with chive ribbons as desired. Serve with crab chips.
