Tuna in Black Cumin Coating
Tuna is relatively rich but it belongs to the best suppliers of valuable omega-3 fatty acids.
Ingredients
- 1 Garlic clove
- Salt
- 1 small red chili pepper
- 1 Lime
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp raw cane sugar
- 250 g tuna fillet (2 tuna fillets)
- Pepper
- 2 tbsp black cumin
Instructions

Peel the garlic, sprinkle with a little salt and crush it with the back of a knife.

Wash the chili pepper, cut it lengthwise in half, remove the seeds and finely chop it.

Wash the lime, dry rub it and grate about 2 tsp of zest finely.

Peel the lime so that all the white pith is removed as well.

Remove the fruit flesh between the membranes and catch the juice in a bowl.

Stir together the lime flesh and zest, olive oil, chili, garlic, sugar and a pinch of salt.

Rinse the tuna fillets, pat them dry, season with salt and pepper.

Coarsely crush black cumin in a mortar, place it on a large plate and roll the fish in it from all sides. Transfer to an aluminum tray and grill each side for 1–2 minutes over high heat. Slice or cut into pieces as desired and serve with the lime-garlic-oil sauce.
