Ingredients

  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 50 g tuna (natural)
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 baguette rolls
  • Basil

Instructions

    Wash, trim, halve, seed and remove white membranes from the bell pepper, then slice into strips. Briefly blanch the tomatoes, cool, peel, quarter, deseed and dice them. Drain the tuna and flake it with a fork. Heat the oil. Peel and press the garlic into the oil. Stir in the tomato cubes and simmer over low heat for 3 minutes. Add the tuna, heat through, season with salt and pepper.

    Halve the rolls. Spread the lower halves with the tomato‑tuna sauce, top with bell pepper strips, sprinkle basil, then place the upper halves on top.
