Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp butter
- 800 g peeled tomatoes (1 can)
- 0.5 tsp Dried oregano
- 0.5 tsp dried thyme
- Salt
- black pepper (freshly ground)
- a pinch of sugar
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 bratwurst sausages
- parsley for garnish
Instructions

Peel the onion, dice finely and sauté in hot butter in a pot until translucent. Add the tomatoes with their juice. Mash the tomatoes with a potato masher to break them up and bring to a boil. Season with salt, pepper, lemon juice and sugar.

Shape 12 small balls from the sausage mixture, drop them into the soup, and simmer for about 8 minutes. Stir in parsley at the end. Serve the soup in bowls and garnish with fresh parsley leaves as desired.
