Tomato and Mozzarella Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 12 large champignons
  • butter (for the dish)
  • 6 tomatoes
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 200 g mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped basil
  • Salt
  • pepper (from the mill)
  • basil (for garnish)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200°C with upper and lower heat.

    Clean the mushrooms, wipe them with a kitchen towel, carefully twist out the stems and remove the gills. Place the mushroom caps in a buttered baking dish. Wash the tomatoes, quarter them, seed them and dice into small cubes. Peel and chop the garlic and mix it with the diced mozzarella and chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper, fill the mushrooms and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve garnished with basil leaves.
