Tofu Bowl
The tofu bowl from blogger Tasty Katy tastes great for breakfast and provides plenty of high-quality protein.
Ingredients
- 100 g Millet
- 200 g tofu
- 2 tbsp oil
- 0.5 tsp turmeric
- 0.5 tsp paprika powder
- 0.5 tsp ground cumin
- 1 pinch chili powder
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 broccoli head
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp Tahini
Instructions
-
1.
Rinse the millet in a sieve under running water.
-
2.
Add the millet with twice its volume of water to a pot, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to very low, cover, and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
-
3.
Meanwhile, cut the tofu into bite‑size cubes. Heat oil in a pan and fry the tofu over high heat until golden. Add the spices and 2 tbsp soy sauce, then cook everything over medium heat for another 3 minutes.
-
4.
Wash, trim, and chop the broccoli into bite‑size pieces. Place the broccoli with a little water in a pot and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes, then drain.
-
5.
In the meantime, whisk together lemon juice, remaining soy sauce, tahini paste, and 2 tbsp water in a bowl until smooth to make the tahini sauce.
-
6.
Arrange tofu, broccoli, and millet in bowls and drizzle the tahini sauce over the tofu bowl.
