Ingredients

  • 800 g firm potatoes (best cooked the day before)
  • 250 g boiled beef (e.g., boiled steak)
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 2 tbsp clarified butter (for frying)
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • caraway seeds
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

Instructions

    Peel the potatoes and cut them into 3-4 mm thick slices. Cut the beef into strips or cubes. Peel, halve, and slice the onion into strips.

    In a hot pan with clarified butter fry the potatoes for 4-5 minutes until lightly golden brown. Add the onion and beef and cook together for about 5 more minutes until crisp.

    Season with salt, pepper, and caraway seeds, then sprinkle with parsley before serving.
