Ingredients
- 4 sour apples
- 75 g butter
- 100 g sugar
- 0.5 sheets puff pastry
- 1 tbsp flour
- 150 g crème fraîche (1 cup)
- sugar
Instructions
-
1.
Let the puff pastry thaw while laid side by side.
-
2.
Peel the apples and cut them into 1 cm wide wedges. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a pan, add the sugar, and stir constantly to create a light caramel. Set aside the pan and layer the apple wedges on it. Place the thawed puff pastry on top of the apples, roll slightly on a floured surface, cut to match the pan size, and lay over the apples; press the edges down gently.
-
3.
Bake the tart in a preheated oven at 225°C for about 25 minutes until crisp brown, then remove.
-
4.
Cover the pan with a large plate, pour the hot contents onto it (be careful – very hot!), and serve immediately. Offer the lightly sweetened crème fraîche on the side.
