Swiss Chard Casserole

With the Swiss chard casserole from Spoonsparrow you start your evening healthy!

Ingredients

  • 1200 g Swiss chard
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 150 ml whipping cream
  • 100 g crème fraîche
  • 2 tbsp light grape juice
  • pepper (ground)
  • nutmeg (freshly grated)','100 g whole‑grain breadcrumbs

Instructions

    Wash the chard, cut off the white stems and blanch in boiling salted water for about 4 minutes. After 2 minutes add the leaves and cook together. Drain, rinse with cold water and let drain well. Slice the stems into thin strips and distribute them with the leaves in a buttered baking dish.

    Whisk the cream with the grape juice and crème fraîche, season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, then pour over the chard. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

    Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 200 °C (convection: 180 °C; gas: level 3) for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Serve immediately.
