Ingredients
- 150 g flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 5 tbsp milk
- 25 g butter
- 1 small egg (size S)
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
- 750 g strawberries
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 packets vanilla sugar
- 150 g crème fraîche
- mint (for garnish)
Instructions
-
1.
Mix flour with salt, dry yeast, sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Warm milk with butter and add to the mixture along with the egg. Knead everything into a smooth dough using the hand mixer’s kneading hooks. Let rise covered in a warm place for 15-20 minutes.
-
2.
Grease four small cups well. Shape the dough into four balls with floured hands and place them in the cups. Let rise for 5-10 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (gas: level 3-4, fan: 180°C) for about 20 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar.
-
3.
Rinse and clean strawberries; cut into halves or quarters depending on size. Mix with sugar and vanilla sugar and let sit briefly to absorb the flavors.
-
4.
Arrange strawberries garnished with mint on a plate. Serve with crème fraîche and the buns as an extra accompaniment.
