Ingredients
- 0.5 l milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 g butter
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 150 g durum wheat semolina
- 2 Eggs
- 50 g butter
- 2 tbsp ground almonds
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
Instructions

Bring the milk with salt, butter and sugar to a boil for the dumplings. Add the semolina and stir until thickened, then remove from heat, wait briefly and whisk in one egg. Then whisk in the second egg and let cool.

Cut out dumpling shapes and drop them into boiling salted water. Let cook for about 8 minutes. Before serving melt butter in a pan, roast almonds and poppy seeds for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in sugar and cinnamon. Lift the dumplings with a slotted spoon and pour the poppy seed butter over them.
