Sweet Rolls

Fancy breakfast? Then bake these foolproof sweet rolls with quark from Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 300 g wheat flour type 1050
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 tbsp whole grain sugar
  • a pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder
  • 180 g low-fat quark
  • 125 ml milk (3.5% fat)
  • 75 g soft butter

Instructions

    Sift the flour, baking powder and whole grain sugar onto a work surface, add salt and vanilla powder, then knead with quark, milk and butter into a smooth dough. Add more flour or milk if needed. Cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour.

    Knead the dough again on a floured surface, divide into 12–15 pieces, roll into round balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (convection: 180 °C; gas: level 3) for about 20 minutes until golden brown.

    Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
