- 600 g sour cherries
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 400 ml cherry juice
- 80 g brown sugar
- 2 cloves of spice cloves
- 250 g milk rice
- 600 ml Milk
- 4 tbsp whipping cream
- cinnamon powder

Wash, pit, and drain the cherries. Mix the cornstarch with a little cherry juice. Bring the remaining juice to a boil with 2 tbsp sugar and cloves. Stir in the starch, let it thicken slightly, then remove from heat. Fold in the cherries and allow to cool to lukewarm.

Bring the milk and remaining sugar to a boil for the rice. Add the rice, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. If the rice becomes too thick, add more milk.

Serve the rice topped with cherries and a dollop of whipping cream, dusted with cinnamon.
