Sweet Pretzels

Ingredients
- 300 g flour
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 1 vanilla bean (pulp)
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 150 g butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 Tbsp whipping cream
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp rum
- Hail sugar

Add all dough ingredients to the food processor with a blade and process on high speed until crumbly. Transfer to a work surface, knead into a sticky dough, wrap in plastic film, and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Divide the dough into seven portions, shape each into a mound, then cut each into ten pieces. Shape each piece into a roughly 15 cm long, 5 mm thick mound and twist into pretzel shapes.

Place the pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C for about 12–15 minutes.

Whisk powdered sugar with rum to make a glaze, brush it over the pretzels, garnish with hail sugar if desired, and let dry.
