Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 800 g sweet potatoes
  • oil for frying

    Roast the sesame seeds in a dry pan until golden brown. In a saucepan heat the honey and lemon juice, stir until smooth, add the roasted sesame seeds, let cool slightly.

    Peel, wash, and cut the sweet potatoes into sticks about 1.5 cm thick. Pat them dry with paper towels and fry in hot oil in batches for about 10 minutes until golden yellow. Arrange the sticks on a plate, drizzle with some honey‑sesame sauce, and serve the remaining sauce as a dip.
