Sweet Gratin with Fresh Fruit

Ingredients

  • 800 g mixed fruit cut into small pieces (e.g., kiwi, mango; grapes, cherries, peaches, ... )
  • 5 eggs
  • 20 mint leaves
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • 4 tbsp Grand Marnier
  • 200 ml whipping cream
  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

    Mix the fruit with half of the liqueur. Wash and dry a few mint leaves, shake them lightly, chop finely, and fold in.

    Separate the eggs; beat the whites into stiff peaks. Beat the yolks with sugar and the remaining liqueur until pale and creamy. Whip the cream to stiff peaks. Combine the whipped cream, yolk mixture, and meringue in a bowl and fold together.

    Place the fruit in six oven‑proof dishes, spread the egg mixture over them, and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 5–10 minutes until golden.

    Dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle with mint before serving.
