Sushi Rolls with Salmon

Ingredients
- 500 g prepared sushi rice
- 4 nori sheets
- 400 g salmon
- 8 leaves of oak leaf lettuce
- 0.5 cucumber
- 4 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp water
- soy sauce
- Wasabi

Briefly toast the nori sheets in a pan without oil.

Cut the salmon into evenly thin strips (about 0.8 cm diameter).

Wash and roughly chop the lettuce leaves.

Wash the cucumber, halve it lengthwise, seed it, and cut into strips about 0.8 cm thick.

Mix vinegar and water together and wet your hands with the mixture. Place one nori sheet on a bamboo mat and spread a quarter of the rice on it, leaving about 2 cm free at the top edge. Flatten the rice and spread a thin strip of wasabi in the middle from right to left. Distribute a quarter each of lettuce, cucumber, and salmon on the lower quarter of the rice. Lift the bamboo mat and roll, pressing the ingredients firmly together. Wet your hands with vinegar water and shape the roll by hand. Dip a sharp knife into the vinegar water and cut the roll diagonally. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to form the other three rolls.
