Ingredients
- 400 g whole wheat flour
- 1 cube yeast
- 1 pinch cane sugar
- 230 ml lukewarm water
- 2 tsp salt

Sift the whole wheat flour into a bowl, make a well in the center. Sprinkle the yeast into the well and stir with water and cane sugar; cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

Add the salt and knead into dough until it releases from the bowl edges. Cover and let rise again at a warm spot for 60 minutes.

Shape the dough into strands about 30 cm long, coil them onto long sticks, then grill over glowing charcoal for 10–15 minutes until the stockbread is golden brown and fully baked.
