Ingredients

  • 1 kg swede (kohlrüben)
  • 60 g diced bacon
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 80 g Butter
  • parsley
  • 20 g flour
  • bouillon
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • caraway, salt, pepper

Instructions

    Wash and dry the peeled swede, cut into cubes. Sauté the finely chopped onion, diced bacon, and sugar until golden yellow, then add the swede.

    Season with salt, pepper, and caraway, continue sautéing until they change color. Dust with flour, pour in bouillon, cover and simmer for 3/4 hours until tender. Finish by seasoning with vinegar and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.
