Steak with Broccoli, Radicchio and Pear
The steak with broccoli, radicchio and pear from Spoonsparrow is a must try this autumn!
Ingredients
- 350 g stalk broccoli
- Salt
- 1 head radicchio
- 10 g parsley (0.5 bunch)
- 3 stems basil
- 6 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 pears
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 720 g beef steak (4 steaks; 2 cm thick; e.g., rump steaks)
- Pepper
- 30 g walnut kernels (2 tbsp)
Instructions

Clean, wash broccoli and cook in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes. Drain, rinse with cold water and let drain.

Meanwhile clean, wash radicchio, cut lengthwise into quarters and pat dry. Wash herbs, dry, chop leaves and mix with 3 tbsp oil. Wash pears, quarter, core, slice into wedges and drizzle with lemon juice.

Pat steaks dry, brush lightly with 1 tbsp oil, season with salt and pepper. Place in a hot grill pan and sear each side for about 2–3 minutes over high heat. Remove and rest for 5 minutes.

Brush radicchio with 1 tbsp oil and grill in the same pan, turning, for 3–4 minutes at medium heat. Remove from pan. Heat remaining oil in the pan, add broccoli and pear wedges and sear both sides for 1–2 minutes.
