Ingredients

  • 2 rump steaks (about 220 g)
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 Tbsp clarified butter
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 tbsp White Wine Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp basil pesto (jarred)

Instructions

    Season the steaks with salt and pepper and sear each side for about 3-5 minutes, depending on preference. Wrap in foil and let rest a few minutes.

    Wash tomatoes and slice them. Peel onions and cut into thin rings.

    Arrange tomatoes and onions on plates, season with salt and pepper, drizzle with vinegar and oil. Place steaks on top and garnish with 1 tbsp pesto each before serving.
