Spicy Onion Patties
Spicy onion patties with potato salad: The salad is prepared with broth and plenty of fresh vegetables, making it extremely low in fat.
Ingredients
- 400 g small potatoes
- 1 bundle radishes
- 1 cucumber
- 1 bundle chives
- 2 small onions
- 400 g beef steak mince (or ground beef)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp oatmeal flakes
- 1 tbsp low-fat quark
- Pepper
- Salt
- 2 tsp Rapeseed Oil
- 250 ml classic vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp herb vinegar
Instructions
-
1.
Wash the potatoes thoroughly, place them in a pot, cover with water and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
-
2.
Meanwhile wash and trim the radishes, then slice them into rounds.
-
3.
Peel the cucumber with a vegetable peeler, halve it lengthwise, remove the seeds with a spoon, and slice into rounds.
-
4.
Wash the chives, shake off excess water, and cut the stems into small rings.
-
5.
Peel the onions and grate them on a box grater into a bowl.
-
6.
Add the mince, egg, oatmeal flakes, and quark. Season with pepper, mix well, and shape 4 patties using damp hands.
-
7.
Heat the oil in a non-stick pan over low heat and slowly brown the patties on both sides. Warm the broth in a small pot.
-
8.
Drain the potatoes, rinse under cold water, peel them. For best results, pierce with a fork and use a small knife to remove the skin. Slice the potatoes directly over a bowl and pour the hot broth over them.
-
9.
Add vinegar over the potatoes as well. Mix in cucumber slices, radish rounds, and chive rings. Season with salt and pepper and serve with the patties.
