Ingredients

  • 1 Galia melon (ca. 500g)
  • 100 g oval red cocktail tomatoes
  • 120 g salad cucumber
  • 1 red chili pepper
  • 1 watercress
  • chicory
  • radicchio
  • 3 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
  • Salt
  • pepper (from grinder)
  • a pinch sugar
  • a splash lime juice
  • 4 tbsp grape seed oil

Instructions

  1. 1.

Halve the melon, remove seeds with a spoon and use a melon baller to scoop out balls from the flesh. Wash the tomatoes, cut off stems and halve them crosswise. Wash the cucumber and slice into sticks about 6 cm long and 0.5 cm wide. Remove the stem of the chili pepper and slice into thin rings, discarding seeds. Arrange all these ingredients with watercress, chicory and radicchio leaves decoratively in a suitably large bowl.

  2. 2.

Whisk together the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Pour over the salad and let it rest for 10 minutes.
