Ingredients
- 1 baguette
- 3 eggs
- 200 ml milk
- 1 tin saffron
- 1 Tbsp clarified butter
- 250 g tomato chutney (ready-made)
- 8 Kumquats
- 150 g crème fraîche

Cut the bread diagonally into slices, arrange on a baking tray and dry in the oven at 120°C for about 30 minutes.

Whisk the eggs with milk and saffron, drizzle over the baguette slices, let absorb, and if desired drain on a cooling rack.

Pan‑fry each side in hot clarified butter until golden yellow.

Spread chutney and crème fraîche on the bread, slice the kumquats, remove seeds, arrange decoratively on top, serve immediately.
