Spelt Flatbread

Do you want to heat up the oven again? Then bake some Spelt flatbreads from Spoonsparrow!
Ingredients
- 250 g spelt flour Type 1050
- 250 g spelt whole‑grain flour
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1 tsp whole‑grain sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 125 ml milk (3.5% fat)
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp coarse sea salt
Instructions

Mix the flours, dry yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl.

Warm the milk with 250 ml water in a pot until lukewarm, pour into the flour mixture and knead with a hand mixer’s dough hooks until smooth.

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for at least 1 hour.

Knead the dough again by hand, divide into four parts and shape each into round, flat discs.

Place the dough discs on two baking trays lined with parchment paper. Brush with oil and evenly sprinkle sea salt on top.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (or 180 °C fan‑forced) on the middle rack for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
