A simple chocolate cake for the springform is decorated with a chocolate glaze and thus adorns every dessert table. Trying it out is worthwhile.

Ingredients
- 200 g butter
- 7 tbsp cocoa powder
- 110 g whole wheat flour
- 110 g wheat flour type 1050
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 230 g raw cane sugar
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 1 vanilla pod
- 2 Eggs
- 150 g Sour cream
- 150 g dark chocolate
- 15 g coconut oil
- 2 tbsp chocolate shavings
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar from raw cane sugar
Instructions

Melt butter in a pot, stir in cocoa and 125 ml water.

Sift flours and baking powder into a bowl, mix with sugar and salt. Split vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds and add them.

Whisk cocoa butter, eggs and sour cream thoroughly with flour. Pour dough into a parchment-lined pan and bake in preheated oven at 175 °C (fan 160 °C; gas: level 2–3) for 45–50 minutes (test with skewer). Let cool.

For glaze, chop dark chocolate and melt with coconut oil over a bain‑marie. Brush the simple chocolate cake with glaze. Decorate with chocolate shavings and powdered sugar before serving.
