Simple Apple Cake with Almonds
A simple apple cake with almonds tastes good on any occasion. This especially juicy and easy apple cake sweetens the day with your loved ones.
Ingredients
- 175 g soft butter
- 150 g sugar
- 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 200 g Flour
- 150 g ground almond kernels
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 100 ml milk
- 4 tart apples
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp almond sticks
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) with upper and lower heat. Butter a springform pan and dust it with flour.

Cream the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar, then gradually fold in the eggs and salt. Mix the flour with the almonds and baking powder, then alternately stir into the butter mixture with milk. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.

Peel the apples, halve them, remove the core cavity, and score the apple curves shallowly (do not cut through). Drizzle the apples with lemon juice and arrange them on top of the batter, curve side up. Press lightly, sprinkle almond sticks over them, and bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes (test with a skewer).

Remove the finished cake from the oven and let it cool. Release it from the pan and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
