Ingredients

  • 450 g large shrimp (peeled, tail segment only)
  • 1 Galia melon
  • 1 cantaloupe melon
  • 10 g ginger
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil (or olive oil)
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 0.5 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 pinch dried lavender
  • Pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

    Wash and clean the strawberries, then cut into small pieces. Wash the pepper and slice into rings. Peel the shallot and finely chop it. Rinse the basil, shake dry, and finely chop the leaves. Combine strawberries, pepper, shallot, basil, lemon juice, and olive oil in a bowl. Season with sugar, salt, and pepper, taste, and set aside.

    Wash and pat dry the shrimp. Halve the melons, scoop out the seeds, and use a melon baller to create balls. Alternate threading the melon balls and shrimp onto wooden skewers. Peel the ginger, grate finely, and mix with oil, thyme, rosemary, and lavender. Brush this mixture over the skewers and grill on high heat for 2-3 minutes per side.
