Sesame-Seared Tuna
Sesame-seared tuna: Anyone who loves sushi will adore this refined fish dish. Tuna already contains 3.5 g of omega‑3 fatty acids per 100 g.
Ingredients
- 0.5 lime
- 4 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp Thai fish sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 15 g ginger (1 piece)
- 1 red chili pepper
- 8 stems cilantro
- 40 g sesame seeds
- 600 g very fresh tuna fillet (4 slices; sushi quality)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 300 g rice noodles
- 1 tbsp Rapeseed Oil
Instructions

Squeeze half a lime and measure 1 tbsp of juice. In a large bowl whisk with chili sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, fish sauce and 2 tbsp water.

Peel garlic and ginger. Finely chop the garlic and grate the ginger.

Clean, wash, halve lengthwise, deseed and finely chop the red chili pepper. Stir everything into the sauce.

Wash cilantro, shake dry and pluck the leaves.

Spread sesame seeds on a flat plate. Rinse tuna, pat dry, season with salt and pepper. Press each side firmly into the sesame seeds.

Cook noodles according to package instructions. Meanwhile heat oil in a non‑stick pan and sear tuna slices for 1–2 minutes per side.

Remove and cut into thin strips. Drain noodles in a colander and mix with sauce. Arrange tuna on top, sprinkle cilantro and serve.
