Savoy Cabbage Skillet

A simple savoy cabbage skillet that tastes great for dinner, lunch, and is perfect for takeout.
Ingredients
- 1 kg savoy cabbage (1 head)
- 2 onions
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt
- black pepper (freshly ground)
- 100 ml Vegetable broth
- 2 tsp mustard seeds
- 50 g walnut kernels

Remove the outer tough leaves from the cabbage, then quarter it lengthwise, cut off the stem in a wedge shape and slice crosswise into fine strips. Peel the onions, halve them lengthwise and cut into thin slivers.

Heat butter in a pot and brown the onion slices until golden. Add the cabbage, sauté briefly. Pour in vegetable broth, stir in mustard seeds, cover and steam for 15–20 minutes.

Meanwhile, roughly chop walnuts and toast them in a hot pan without oil over medium heat for 3 minutes. Season the cabbage skillet with salt and pepper, add the walnut kernels, and serve.
