Savory Puff Pastry Bites

Ingredients
- 50 g Gorgonzola cheese
- 1 tbsp Mascarpone cream
- 1 tbsp red pepper
- 4 sheets puff pastry (frozen)
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp milk

Cut the Gorgonzola into small pieces and mix with the Mascarpone. Crush the red pepper in a mortar, add it to the mixture and stir well. Let the puff pastry thaw while lying side by side. On a floured work surface roll out slightly and cut into desired shapes (hearts, stars, rectangles, etc.). Whisk together the egg yolks and milk.

Brush some cookies with the egg‑milk mixture, fill others with the cheese blend and lightly brush the edges. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F) with upper and lower heat. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, place the puff pastry shapes on it and bake for 12 minutes until golden yellow. Remove and serve warm or cold.
