Ingredients
- 2 Bratwürste
- 300 g sauerkraut
- 50 ml Fleischbrühe
- 50 ml Weißwein
- 400 g Kartoffeln (mehligkochend)
- 80 ml Milch
- 2 EL Butter
- 2 EL Öl
- 1 TL Wacholderbeere
- 1 Lorbeerblatt
- 1 TL Trockenpflaumen
- Salz
- Pfeffer (aus der Mühle)
- Muskat (frisch gerieben)

Wash potatoes and steam in the skin for about 30 minutes.

Place sauerkraut with juniper berries, bay leaf, prunes, white wine, and broth in a pot. Bring to a boil and simmer covered for about 20 minutes; let the liquid reduce slightly after opening the lid.

Peel potatoes, press hot through a potato masher, and mix with warm milk and butter into a smooth mash. Season with salt and nutmeg.

Brown sausages in hot oil for about 3-4 minutes per side, then serve with mash and sauerkraut.
