Ingredients

  • 150 g fresh salmon fillet
  • 2 tsp wasabi paste
  • 150 g prepared sushi rice

Instructions

    Slice the well-chilled salmon fillet diagonally into 8 very thin, evenly sized pieces about 3 x 5 cm each, then spread a thin layer of wasabi paste on one side of each slice.

    Shape the sushi rice with dampened hands into 8 elongated mounds and gently press the fish slices onto them to complete the nigiri sushi. Arrange and serve as uniformly as possible.

    Serve with pickled ginger (gari or shoga).
