Ingredients

  • 500 g flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 g softened butter
  • 300 g yogurt
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped rosemary needles
  • 300 g cream cheese
  • 350 g smoked salmon (thin slices)

Instructions

    Mix all ingredients except the yogurt together and knead with enough yogurt so the dough holds together, then roll out to 1.5 cm thickness and cut into 15 equal squares. Brush with beaten egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C fan on the middle rack for about 10-15 minutes until golden yellow.

    Remove from oven and let cool. To serve, split the scones open and spread cream cheese on each half, then top with smoked salmon slices. Garnish with rosemary needles before serving.
