Ingredients

  • 4 slices Big-American sandwich bread (or tramezzini bread)
  • 2 large slices cooked ham
  • 2 large slices Gruyère cheese
  • rosemary needles
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Place ham, cheese, and rosemary needles on 2 slices of toast, season with salt and pepper, top with the remaining bread slices and press firmly. Toast in a sandwich maker until golden brown. Cut diagonally for serving.

    If no sandwich maker is available, lightly butter both sides of the bread and grill at low heat until golden brown, then transfer to a preheated oven at 160°C for 5-10 minutes so the cheese melts. Serve cut diagonally.
