Rose Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 0.5 lemon
  • 250 g sugar
  • 2 handfuls untreated organic pink rose petals
  • Ice cubes
  • untreated organic pink rose petals
  • soda or sparkling wine (to top up)

Instructions

    Wash the lemon under hot water and slice it into rounds. Place in 250 ml of water with the sugar and bring to a boil. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until syrup forms. Remove from heat and let cool. Add the rose petals to the cold syrup, cover, and steep in a cool, dark place for 5–7 days.

    After steeping, strain through a sieve into a pre-warmed bottle. Keep the syrup refrigerated until use.

    Fill each glass with 1–2 cl of syrup, add 4–5 ice cubes and a few rose petals. Top up with soda water or sparkling wine and serve.
